In the stylish ambience of Pier 23, the renowned German painter Christian von Grumbkow presents 15 new and older works. The exhibition features pieces that exemplify both Grumbkow's characteristic depth of color and technical diversity. This is the artist's second solo exhibition in East Frisia.

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Christian von Grumbkow will guide visitors through the exhibition "Joy."
Prior to this, a 30-minute version of the documentary "Wege zur Farbe" (Paths toColor), which portrays him in 2023, will be shown.

The exhibition is accessible free of charge during the opening hours of the Pier 23 restaurant:

Mon. - Fri.: 12:00 - 15:00 & from 17:00
Sat. & Sun.: 11.30 - 15:00 & from 17:00

The kitchen is open from 12:00 - 14:30
and from 17:00 - 22:00.

Parking

Parking is available in the paid public parking lots at Georgstraße 19 and at the Frisia-Center at Leer (Ostfriesland) train station. Please note the limited headroom at the latter.
