About Ioan Iacob
Ioan Iacob (*1954) has been a renowned representative of Romanian art for decades. As a student at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and master student of Gotthard Graubner, he developed his own visual language early on. He has received numerous local awards and scholarships for his work and has exhibited in Germany, Israel, Belgium and in all the major national museums in Romania. His works can be found in public institutions and private collections throughout Europe and Asia.
Ioan Iacob lives and works in Düsseldorf.
Style and technology
Iacob is a master of figurative and landscape painting. He achieves his depth of color through often contrasting layering of tones, creating an effect that is both startling and enchanting.
